We walk the property and take measurements. We check the slope and note where water runs after rain. You choose the paver, colour, pattern and border. The plan is agreed before we dig.

We remove old asphalt, concrete, sod, and soft soil to the required depth. Buried roots, old fill and wet clay are common excavation problems on North York lots. We deal with them before any base goes in. The subgrade is then compacted and the granular base is built up.

Bedding sand is screeded to an even depth. Pavers are laid in your pattern from a fixed starting edge. We cut with a wet saw. Edge restraint locks the border in place.

A plate compactor runs over the pavers. Polymeric sand is swept into the joints and the surface is compacted again. We check level, slope and edges, then go through the result with you.
